The draft decision of the Cabinet of Ministers on “Measures for the organization of Box Parking service facilities along international roads” was published.
It is noted that the Box Parking facilities are complexes made of containers, the organization (construction) works are completed in a short time. It includes 24-hour catering, housekeeping, parking, washroom, shared toilet, first aid station, convenience store and other services.
The Box Parking roadside service facility was built and put into operation on the side of the Tashkent ring road passing through Yangihayot district. The construction of a service facility consisting of 8 containers on the Tashkent-Chinaz route (km 860 of the M39 highway) in the Tashkent region has begun.
The possibility of placing modern Box Parking service roadside facilities in accordance with international standards has been determined on the side of the Tashkent-Chinaz, Tashkent-Bostanlyk and Tashkent-Almalyk highways of the Tashkent region.
Approval is given to the project proposal for the establishment of modern Box Parking service roadside facilities consisting of containers on the side of the Tashkent-Chinaz, Tashkent-Bostanlyk and Tashkent-Almalik highways of the Tashkent region.
It is noted that:
ꞏ the vacant land areas along the international roads of the republic (A-380, A-378, A-376, A-373, M-39, M-37, M-34) have been demarcated, and their part that does not affect the operation of motor vehicle routes will be transferred to the jurisdiction of Council of Ministers of Karakalpakstan, regional and district administrations;
ꞏ the Council of Ministers of Karakalpakstan, regional and district administrations, Cadastre Agency, State Assets Management Agency, Ministry of Agriculture, together with the Highways Committee will determine the locations of Box Parking service facilities along international roads and reserve the land areas identified in the prescribed manner;
ꞏ the initiators who are the winners of the auctions are allowed to establish Box Parking service facilities on the land plots;
ꞏ the Ministry of Economic Development and Poverty Reduction, the Ministry of Construction, the Council of Ministers of Karakalpakstan, regional and district administrations approve the list of permitted activities for Box Parking projects along international roads.
