As the parliamentary press service reported, at the meeting a resolution was adopted to convene the twenty-ninth plenary session of the Senate of Oliy Majlis on August 4 this year. The plenary session is planned to be held over two days in the form of videoconferencing.
A number of issues will be considered at the next plenary session. Among them are the laws:
- “On approval of the Housing Code of the Republic of Uzbekistan”;
- “On the public debt;
- “On amendments to the Family Code of the Republic of Uzbekistan”;
- “On amendments to Article 2061 of the Administrative Responsibility Code of the Republic of Uzbekistan”;
- “On the introduction of amendments and additions to some legislative acts of the Republic of Uzbekistan in connection with the digitalization of the activities of the courts”;
- “On the introduction of amendments and additions to some legislative acts of the Republic of Uzbekistan”.
In addition, it is planned to hear a report from the Cabinet of Ministers on execution, following the results of the first half of 2022, of the state program for implementing the development strategy of the new Uzbekistan for 2022-2026 in the “Year of Ensuring Human Interests and Mahalla Development”.
Senators will also discuss the information of the director of the Anti-Corruption Agency on the national report on combating corruption in the republic. In addition, the information of the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs on the state of prevention of offenses, as well as the report of the khokim of Bukhara region on the work carried out in the region to raise the tourism sector to a new level and develop the service sector will be heard.
As part of the plenary session’s agenda, it is envisaged to approve resolutions of the Council of the Senate of Oliy Majlis.
