US Senate confirms Jonathan Henick as country’s new ambassador to Uzbekistan
The current US Ambassador to Uzbekistan, Daniel Rosenblum, who took office in May 2019, has been appointed the country’s new ambassador to Kazakhstan.

On July 27, the US Senate approved Jonathan Henick as the new US Ambassador to Uzbekistan.
Henick is a Career Foreign Service Officer at the US Department of State and is currently the US Consul General in Istanbul, Turkey. Previously, he served as Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for the Bureau of Southern Affairs.
He has extensive international affairs experience, particularly in Turkey, the Caucasus, Central Asia, and the Lusophone world.
Jonathan Henick holds a master’s degree in international relations from Columbia University.
