Uzbekistan Airways has already introduced a 50% discount on all types of fares for domestic flights operating during the Eid al-Adha holiday – from July 9 to July 12 of this year.
It should be recalled that in early February 2021, the President signed a decree “On measures to further develop domestic and pilgrimage tourism in the Republic of Uzbekistan”. According to the document, on the days of major holidays, Uzbeks will have at least three days of rest.
On April 30 of this year, changes were made to the presidential decree in accordance with which additional days off in 2022 have been established.
According to the document, July 11 (Monday) is an additional non-working day for all employees (regardless of the types of work week).
Moreover, the day off for employees with a five-day work week has been moved from Saturday July 16 to Tuesday July 12 .
For employees with a six-day working week, Tuesday July 12 is also set as an additional non-working day.
According to unconfirmed reports, Kurban Hayit falls on July 9 in 2022.
Thus, the residents of Uzbekistan will rest on Kurban Hayit for the following days:
- July 9, 2022 - Saturday (holiday non-working day – not yet officially confirmed);
- July 10, 2022 – Sunday (day off according to the calendar);
- July 11, 2022 – Monday (additional non-working day);
- July 12, 2022 – Tuesday (additional non-working day/postponed holiday).
