Komil Allamjonov meets with RFE/RL president and editor-in-chief of Uzbek service
Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Public Fund for Support and Development of National Mass Media Komil Allamjonov met with representatives of RFE/RL.

According to Komil Allamjonov, a regular but face-to-face meeting was held with Jamie Flay, President and CEO of Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty (RFE/RL), and Pahlavon Sodiq, Editor-in-Chief of RFE/RL’s Uzbek Service.
It was noted that the meeting discussed opportunities for cooperation and exchanged views on issues of mutual interest.

For information, RFE/RL is an international radio station that broadcasts to several Eastern European countries and the CIS republics. RFE/RL works in 28 languages, including Uzbek.

The radio was founded in Munich, Germany, as an anti-communist station during the Cold War. From 1949 to 1995, the main building of the station was there. In 1995, the center of the station was moved to the Czech capital, Prague.
