Uzbekistan’s secretary of security council to visit Tajikistan

On May 27, Dushanbe will host the 4th round of multilateral consultations of secretaries of security councils on the Afghan problem, the “Khovar” Agency reported with reference to the apparatus of the Security Council of Tajikistan.

As explained in the Security Council, it is planned to discuss issues “related to the development of the situation in Afghanistan, as well as challenges and threats to the states of the region emanating from Afghan territory”.

The 3rd round of multilateral consultations of the secretaries of the security councils on Afghan issues took place on November 10, 2021 in New Delhi, the capital of India.

It was attended by the national security advisers/secretaries of the security councils of Uzbekistan, India, Iran, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, the Russian Federation, Tajikistan and Turkmenistan. Participants discussed the changing situation in Afghanistan, especially in the area of security, as well as its implications for the region and the world.
