The program of the visit includes meetings with the leadership of the Korea Customs Service (KCS), during which the parties will discuss the current state and prospects of interdepartmental cooperation. Also within the framework of the visit, the participation of the head of the State Customs Committee of Uzbekistan in a seminar on trade facilitation policies for the heads of customs services of the Central Asian countries, organized by the KCS, is envisaged.

It should be recalled that in September 2021, the head of the KCS visited Uzbekistan, during which the parties signed a Memorandum of Cooperation and Exchange of Experience in the Field of Professional Training between the State Customs Committee of Uzbekistan and the Korea Customs Service.

As part of the implementation of the said Memorandum, on November 16-26, 2021, specialists from the State Customs Committee of Uzbekistan completed an internship at the KCS divisions. Customs officers of Uzbekistan studied the South Korean experience in the field of electronic commerce, risk management, new customs administration technologies, got acquainted with the activities of the customs service at international airports and ports, and exchanged experience in the work of regional customs laboratories.
