According to the parliamentary press service, the meeting adopted a resolution to convene the twenty-sixth plenary session of the Senate on May 28 this year. A number of issues will be considered at the plenary session, which will be held in the form of videoconferencing.
Among them are the laws:
- “On the state civil service”;
- “On procedures for the withdrawal of land for public needs with compensation”;
- “On the introduction of amendments and additions to some legislative acts of the Republic of Uzbekistan in connection with the improvement of the system for ensuring equality and transparency in land relations, reliable protection of land rights and their transformation into a market asset”;
- “On making additions and amendments to Article 19 of the Law of the Republic of Uzbekistan “On narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances”.
The senators will also consider the results of a parliamentary inquiry sent to the Cabinet of Ministers on the work carried out in Karakalpakstan on the use of solar and wind energy in the sectors of the economy, at social facilities and in residential areas of the population.
In addition, the results of a parliamentary inquiry sent to the Cabinet of Ministers on the development of national content for young people and minors on the Internet, the culture of their use of social networks and protection from harmful information will be discussed.
It is envisaged to consider the results of a parliamentary inquiry sent to the Cabinet of Ministers regarding the state of protection of women’s labor rights at the enterprises of the light and leather industries.
At the plenary session, the senators plan to hear the report of the Senate Committee on the development of the Aral Sea region and ecology on activities in 2021 and Q1 of 2022.
