The Agency for External Labor Migration and the Latvian company UberHint have signed a memorandum of cooperation, the agency's press service writes.
Under the terms of the agreement, the company will provide citizens of Uzbekistan with legal assistance in preparing documents for traveling to Latvia. In particular, it will interact with the Latvian embassy and the migration service.
UberHint will also create a special website and mobile application for Uzbeks traveling to the EU countries. It will provide access to all information on obtaining work visas and residence permits in the EU.
In addition, the company will provide support to migrants from Uzbekistan whose visas and residence permits have expired.
The parties outlined areas of cooperation at a meeting in Tashkent at the end of April. In addition to partnerships in the field of migration, the meeting discussed the involvement of Uzbeks in the construction industry, hotel and restaurant services, transport and agriculture in Latvia.
