Khokims granted right to install radars on the territory entrusted to them
District (city) khokimiyats received the right to install photo and video radars on their territory that record violations on the roads. At the same time, 30% of the fines will go to the local budget. A republican special commission and regional commissions on road safety have been established. Since July 1, the index “Safe Road” has been introduced.

In Uzbekistan, district (city) khokimiyats have been granted the right to install special automated photo and video software systems and technical means for recording traffic violations on the roads of the territories entrusted to them.
30% of the amount of fines for violations recorded using these software and hardware will be transferred directly to the local budget of the district (city).
These funds are directed to the digitalization of traffic, the development of road infrastructure, as well as hiring additional traffic police staff. This is stated in the presidential decree, signed on April 4.
In accordance with the resolution, in order to increase the efficiency of activities in the field of organization, management and ensuring traffic safety on highways, the Republican Special Commission on Road Safety and its regional special commissions have been established.
