During the meeting with the rector of the Petronas Technological University Mohamed Ibrahim Abdul Mutalib and the director of the INSTEP College of Oil and Gas Technologies Idris Ibrahim, issues of establishing cooperation on training and advanced training of personnel for the oil and gas and technological sectors of the economy of Uzbekistan, including the gas chemical cluster in the Kashkadarya region and the plant for the production of synthetic liquid fuel “Uzbekistan GTL” were discussed.
As a result of the negotiations, agreements were reached on organizing a visit of a delegation of a Malaysian university to Uzbekistan to develop joint educational programs in the areas of “Petroleum Engineering”, “Chemical Engineering”, “Mineral Development” and research projects, as well as to study the issue of signing Memorandums of Cooperation between Petronas Technological University, Karshi Engineering and Economic Institute and other interested universities of the republic.
At a meeting with the chairman of the National University of Malaysia, Mohammad Abd Razak, and the director of the Institute of Islamic Civilization at this university, Fariza Sham, the level of interaction of the Malaysian side with the Center for Islamic Civilization of Uzbekistan and the Imam Bukhari International Research Center was noted with satisfaction.
Mohammad Abd Razak highly appreciated the comprehensive measures being taken in Uzbekistan to comprehensively study, preserve and promote the rich heritage of Islamic civilization, develop a culture of tolerance and popularize the humanistic essence of the religion of Islam.
Following the negotiations, agreements were reached on holding the second International Scientific and Practical Seminar on the role of Central Asian scientists in the history of world civilization in the first half of 2022, as well as the participation of Malaysian researchers in the research program of international scholarships of the Imam Bukhari Center.
