The delegations of the parties were headed by Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan Furkat Sidikov and First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Bangladesh Masud Bin Momen.
It is noteworthy that political consultations were held for the first time in the history of diplomatic relations between the two countries.
The parties discussed the current state of bilateral relations and prospects for the development of cooperation in the political, trade, economic, investment, cultural, humanitarian and other fields.
An exchange of views took place on issues of collaboration within the framework of the UN and other multilateral structures.
The importance of expanding the legal base of interaction was noted. In this regard, the sides reached an agreement on the establishment of working groups with the participation of representatives of the involved ministries and departments.
Particular attention was paid to the issues of enhancing economic diplomacy by facilitating the establishment and expansion of contacts between business entities, creating favorable conditions for mutual trade and the implementation of joint investment projects.
Other issues of the Uzbek-Bangladesh agenda were also discussed during the talks.
