Khududgaz Jizzakh branch officials detained for bribery
Department head of the Khududgaz Jizzakh JSC and a chief engineer of the branch demanded $3,000 in bribe from a businessman promising they would help in reducing his debt to the state in the amount of 384.6 million soums.

The officials were detained by PGO and SSS officers while receiving the money.
Reportedly, the chief engineer was formerly convicted under Article 214 of the Criminal Code.
Currently, a criminal case under Article 210 (bribery) of the Criminal Code has been initiated against the men and an investigation is ongoing.
