Uzbekistan becomes leader in money transfers from Russia among CIS countries
In the third quarter of this year, $1.01 billion was sent from Russia to Uzbekistan (34.9% more than in the second quarter).

According to Kommersant, in the third quarter, individuals set a 6-year record for money transfers from Russia to the CIS countries.
According to the Central Bank of Russia, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan are leading in this regard.
In July-September, cross-border transfers from Russia to the CIS countries through payment systems reached $2.29 billion.
The last time such a large amount of remittances – $2.31 billion – was recorded in the second quarter of 2015.
In the third quarter of this year, $1.01 billion was transferred from Russia to Uzbekistan (34.9% more than in the second quarter), $0.53 billion to Tajikistan (25.5% more than in the second quarter) and $0.43 billion to Kyrgyzstan (21.7% more than in the second quarter).
It was noted that the increase in remittances was due to the inflow of labor migrants, in particular, the organized import of labor from Uzbekistan and Tajikistan.
According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation, in January-September 2021, 1.6 million patents were issued, which is twice as much as in the same period last year. 542,000 patents were issued to Tajiks and 976,000 to citizens of Uzbekistan.
