The press service of the Prosecutor General’s Office (PGO) reported that as part of the measures taken in the system, another employee was involved in corruption.
“As part of the measures taken by the Prosecutor General’s Office to sharply strengthen the fight against corruption in the system, to quickly identify negative cases, a hotline number 71-202-08-28 was set up in the Private Security Department and made available to the general public via the Internet networks.
According to the information received at the event, which was held by the Department of Private Security, Sh.V., who served as deputy head of the PGO Department, became familiar with A.K. through his relative Sh.N. and promised to terminate the criminal case (it was being investigated by the Bukhara regional prosecutor’s office) against him through his acquaintances. Thus, on November 27, the PGO received fraudulently $3,000 from citizen A.K.
On the above fact, on December 7, the Prosecutor General’s Office initiated a criminal case against Sh.V. under Paragraph “a” of Article 168-3 (Fraud) and Article 211-1 (Bribery) of the Criminal Code. (mediation in bribery). Also, Sh.N. was charged under Article 212-1 of the Criminal Code (mediation in bribery),” the report reads.
The suspect Sh.V. was held in custody in the procedural order.
It was noted that work in this direction is underway.
Earlier, it was reported that the deputy chief of the PGO Department was arrested while receiving $29,000 in bribe.
After that, the Prosecutor General’s Office appealed to the public and called on every citizen to actively cooperate in the fight against corruption in society, in particular, in the prosecuting bodies.
