At the center, Sherzod Shermatov stressed the need to find ways to further simplify the process of registration of IMEI codes for the population.

“Citizens should have easy and convenient access to services. It is necessary to take all necessary measures for this,” said the minister.

He also reviewed the plan for giving subscribers the right to shift from one mobile operator to another while retaining the phone number (abolishing “mobile slavery”)

The rule allowing to keep the number when changing the mobile operator came into force a year ago. However, its practical implementation was hampered by the lack of appropriate infrastructure and equipment. Now this problem must be solved.
