Senior official of Andijan regional prosecutor’s office detained while receiving $15,000 in bribe
A senior official of the Andijan regional prosecutor’s office has been detained red-handed by SSS officers while taking a bribe.

“The incident happened on November 12, at about 11 pm during an operational event conducted by law enforcement officers. He was receiving $15,000. A pre-trial investigation is underway,” Hayot Shamsutdinov, a spokesman for the Prosecutor General's Office, told Kun.uz.
Reports circulating on social media that the arrested prosecutor was a nephew of the governor were not confirmed.
Earlier, the State Security Service officers arrested a district prosecutor in Jizzakh region with a bribe of $2,000, and a deputy district prosecutor in Samarkand region with a bribe of $10,000.
