In January-September 2021, Uzbekistan produced 438.3 thousand tons of sugar, the State Statistics Committee reported.
According to the committee, sugar production increased by 3 times or 293.8 thousand tons in comparison with the same period last year.
Earlier it was reported that sugar prices rose by 23.9% compared to October 2020, by 18.6% compared to December of the previous year and by 2.2% compared to September this year.
Currently, sugar prices in the country range from 7,500 soums to 9,500 soums (around $0.70-$0.90).
