“Today, there were reports on Internet sites and social networks that the deputy dean of the Tashkent State Pedagogical University named after Nizami tried to rape a student.
Currently, law enforcement agencies are working with the Ministry of Higher and Secondary Specialized Education to investigate the incident.
According to the results of the study, legal measures will be taken against the university official suspected of a crime. Strict organizational and disciplinary measures will also be taken against the university administration and officials who allowed this to happen.
The Ministry of Higher and Secondary Specialized Education strongly condemns any act against the honor and dignity of female students and, of course, resolutely opposes such cases.
A special portal will be created and launched soon to prevent such cases.
Objective details will be further disclosed as a result of the study,” the ministry said in a statement.
Earlier, the project Nemolchi.uz published an appeal by student Mushtariybonu Kamilova. Allegedly, on October 18, the student entered the room of Bogabek Yuldashev, the deputy dean for youth affairs, in order to get a recommendation for the Zulfiya state award, where she was sexually harassed.
