After the start of concluding contracts for the updated Chevrolet Captiva cars, the network raised the issue of one clause of the contract on a possible change in the retail price of this car. 

The author of the Kurbanoff.net Telegram channel drew attention to this.

“We didn’t have time to announce they are already giving contracts for the new Captiva with a delivery date of the end of January 2022. And also, again there was an item about an additional payment in case of a price change, albeit in connection with additional options,” he wrote.

The blogger recalls that at the end of 2019, the relevant departments announced that this item would be removed from the agreement.

“They returned, but albeit in a tricky edition. We are waiting for the reaction of the Antimonopoly Committee, I would like to hope that after the change of leadership their position in the protection of consumer rights has not changed,” the author concluded.

However, the press service of UzAuto Motors stated that there is no clause on a unilateral price increase in the contract. 

“The agreement previously contained, as it is now, clause 2.4. It states that the surcharge can be made only in case of a change in the vehicle configuration. Apparently the authors of the posts did not carefully read this one, as well as the subsequent clauses of this agreement. In clauses 2.4.1 and 2.4.3 it is said that the buyer, if the configuration differs from the declared one, has the right to refuse to buy a car with the condition of a refund, or demand a replacement. Clause 2.4 only stipulates the options for the development of the situation, with a possible change in the configuration. The rights of the buyer in this agreement are protected, and if he does not want to make any additional payments, he always has a choice – to refuse the purchase and get the money back or demand a replacement for a suitable modification of the car,” the press service said.

The company also reminded that the cost of the car, if the components declared in the contract are in compliance, will not increase.
