Bodies of 323 citizens who died abroad brought to Uzbekistan in Jan-Aug 2021

Since the beginning of the year, 323 citizens of Uzbekistan who died abroad have been brought to the country, the External Labor Migration Agency said.

It is noted that during 8 months, the agency provided legal assistance to 7,025 migrant workers, counseling services to 262,161 people, social assistance to 4,853 fellow citizens and financial assistance to 8,268 compatriots.

One-time financial assistance was provided to 4,150 labor migrants. 219 of them were temporarily housed in hostels.

The bodies of 323 citizens who died abroad were brought to the country. 271 people in difficult situations abroad were returned.

In addition, the medical expenses of 11 migrant workers with serious injuries were reimbursed.
