Germany donates 356,000 doses of AstraZeneca vaccine to Uzbekistan
Germany has donated 356,000 doses of the AstraZeneca vaccine to Uzbekistan. The vaccines were delivered to the country by UNICEF through the COVAX program.

COVAX is a worldwide initiative aimed at equitable access to COVID-19 vaccines directed by Gavi, the Vaccine Alliance, the Coalition for Epidemic Preparedness Innovations, and the World Health Organization.
Earlier, Uzbekistan had received about 1 million doses of the AstraZeneca vaccine. Thus, the total number of vaccines supplied to the country has reached 22.8 million doses.
To date, 16.6 million doses of different vaccines have been administered in the country, and the number of fully vaccinated citizens is more than 3 million.
