Uzbekistan’s birth rate increases by 16.4% in 30 years

In 30 years, the number of births increased by 16.4%.
According to the State Statistics Committee, 723,420 people were born in 1991. Of this, 372,193 (51.4%) were boys and 351,227 (49.6%) were girls.
The number of births in 2020 was 841,817, of which 436,351 (51.8%) were boys and 405,466 (49.2%) were girls.
As it was earlier reported, in January-June 2021, 390.7 thousand births were registered in the country.
