Statistics Committee provides data on the birth rate by regions for May
In May 2022, 70,467 births were registered in the country, the State Statistics Committee reported.

It was noted that this figure is 3,380 more than in the same period last year.
In May, the largest number of newborns was registered in the Samarkand region.
Number of births by regions:
• Samarkand region – 8,798;
• Fergana region – 7,691;
• Kashkadarya region – 7,280;
• Andijan region – 6,413;
• Surkhandarya region – 6,097;
• Namangan region – 6,005;
• Tashkent region – 5,863;
• Tashkent city – 5,841;
• Bukhara region – 3,478;
• Jizzakh region – 3,226;
• Republic of Karakalpakstan – 3,116;
• Khorezm region – 2,683;
• Navoi region – 2,177;
• Syrdarya region – 1,799.
