Shavkat Mirziyoyev talks with President of Poland over the phone

On August 25, the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev had a telephone conversation with the President of Poland Andrzej Duda.
During the conversation, the parties agreed to continue to work together on issues on the bilateral agenda, including the development of political dialogue, expanding trade, economic and investment cooperation, promoting cultural and humanitarian exchange programs, as well as strengthening collaboration within international organizations.
The sides also exchanged views on the current situation in the region after the recent change of powers in Afghanistan.
The President of Poland expressed sincere gratitude to Mirziyoyev for the assistance in carrying out humanitarian operations for the evacuation of citizens from Afghanistan through the territory of Uzbekistan.
It was agreed to continue close cooperation in order to resolve the Afghan issue peacefully.
