During the year, 34 criminal cases on corruption were initiated, 26 of which were related to the looting of budget funds. This was announced at the AIMC briefing with the participation of the head of the information service of the Anti-Corruption Agency Durdona Ochilova.
It was noted that over the past year, a total of 34 criminal cases were initiated by law enforcement agencies on the basis of documents collected during the study in the regions of the country.
“26 criminal cases are related to embezzlement of budget funds, 3 – forgery of documents, 2 – abuse of official power, 1 – tax evasion, 2 – fraud and bribery,” Durdona Ochilova said.
When these crimes are analyzed by the regions:
- In the Samarkand region, 8 crimes were committed;
- In the Andijan region – 6;
- In the city of Tashkent – 6;
- In the Jizzakh region – 4;
- In the Namangan region – 3;
- In the Republic of Karakalpakstan – 3;
- In the Tashkent region – 2;
- In the Kashkadarya region – 1;
- In the Navoi region – 1.
Reportedly, 4 of these crimes are committed by the republican, 10 – by the regional, 20 – by district and city organizations.
