Shavkat Mirziyoyev talks to Vladimir Putin over the phone

On August 15, Shavkat Mirziyoyev had a telephone conversation with the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin.
According to the presidential press service, during the conversation, the sides discussed issues of further developing the Uzbek-Russian relations of strategic partnership and alliance, as well as expanding multifaceted cooperation.
In addition, the parties exchanged views on the current situation in Afghanistan.
“An agreement was reached to continue close contacts and interaction between the relevant departments of the two countries on issues of ensuring regional security and stability,” the press service said.
It should be noted that currently, the Taliban has taken control of all of Afghanistan.
