The delivery of these vaccines is part of the COVAX initiative.

It is planned to supply more than 2 million doses of AstraZeneca vaccine to Uzbekistan at the expense of the COVAX Fund. 35-40% of them will be delivered in the first quarter of 2021, and the rest in the second quarter, depending on the global production capacity of vaccines.

It should be reminded that at the beginning of the year a special working group was established in the country to implement the vaccination process against coronavirus. 

According to the developed program, 3,138 vaccination points, as well as 862 mobile brigades have been prepared to organize vaccination.
