On March 11, Shavkat Mirziyoyev received the President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Japarov. During the meeting, the issues of bilateral cooperation and strengthening partnership were discussed.
Following the talks, officials of the parties signed a package of documents and the representative of the government of Batken region Omurbek Suvanaliyev and the khokim of Andijan region Shukhratbek Abdurahmanov gave interviews to the mass media.
“We can implement the assigned tasks and achieve better results. I thank our presidents for strengthening bilateral cooperation,” Omurbek Suvanaliyev said.
“Andijan region alone traded $270 million worth of goods with Kyrgyzstan in 2020. Despite the pandemic, the figure is up by 1.2 times compared to 2019.
