Construction Minister of Russia and the Ambassador of Uzbekistan discuss the issue of migrants’ employment
The Minister of Construction, Housing and Utilities of the Russian Federation, Irek Fayzullin, held a meeting with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Uzbekistan to Russia, Botirjon Asadov.

According to the MFA press service, one of the main topics of the discussion was expanding cooperation between the two specialized departments of Russia and Uzbekistan.
“The parties also considered the preparation of memorandum on cooperation between the construction ministries of the two countries, which is planned to be signed at the meeting of the Heads of Governments,” the report states.
Irek Fayzullin outlined the importance of Russian-Uzbek cooperation in the construction sphere, as well as the exchange of experience and new solutions.
The head of the diplomatic mission of Uzbekistan, in turn, noted the interest of the Uzbek side in exploring approaches to technical regulation in the construction and planning of territories.
“During the negotiations, the sides discussed the possibility of involving labor migrants who previously worked in the construction sphere to work in Russia,” the press service noted.
Following the meeting, the sides reached an agreement on the further elaboration of a list of joint projects by the construction ministries of both countries and the involvement of interested organizations.
