Senator Murtazo Rakhmatov appointed head of the Cotton-Textile Cluster Association
Senator Murtazo Rakhmatov chairs the Cotton-Textile Cluster Association of Uzbekistan.

In January 2020, the founder of the cluster “Bukhara Cotton Textile Cluster” Murtazo Rakhmatov became a member of the Senate of Oliy Majlis.
He is also the founder of the first cotton-textile cluster in Uzbekistan – “TCT cluster”, which is located in the Kuyichirchik district of the Tashkent region.
To note, the Cotton-Textile Cluster Association was established by a Government Resolution of June 22, 2020.
The aims of the organization are:
• Addressing systemic issues in cluster activities;
• Representing and protecting the rights of cotton and textile clusters;
• Increasing exports of high value-added products;
• Integrated development of the commodity base and cluster infrastructure;
• Organizing relationships between farms and clusters.
