As the parliamentary press service reported, on November 3, at a regular plenary meeting of the Legislative Chamber of Oliy Majlis, deputies considered the candidacy for the post of the Minister of Health.
Abdukhakim Khadjibayev was nominated for this position.
Following the discussions, a resolution was adopted by the Legislative Chamber of Oliy Majlis on the approval of Khadjibayev’s candidacy for the post of the Health Minister.
The corresponding document on his appointment must now be signed by the President of Uzbekistan.
It should be recalled that Alisher Shodmonov was appointed Minister of Health in February 2017. Prior to his appointment to this position, he worked as chairman of the Committee on Science, Education, Culture and Sports of the Legislative Chamber of Oliy Majlis.
Abdukhakim Khadjibayev was born on November 2, 1951, in the Zangiota district, Tashkent region. In 1974, he graduated from the Tashkent State Medical Institute. Since 1975, he has been working in the healthcare sector.
In 2000-2003, he was the Director-General of the Republican Scientific Center for emergency medical care, in 2003-2007 – the First Deputy Minister of Health.
By the presidential decree of July 15, he was appointed First Deputy Minister of Health.
