The event was attended by staff of the Embassy of Uzbekistan and the Migration Agency, more than a hundred compatriots, representatives of government and non-government organizations of the Republic of Korea.
Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Uzbekistan to Korea Vitaly Fen congratulated the participants of the ceremony.
It is no coincidence that Gwangju was chosen as the venue for the association. Many of our compatriots are engaged in temporary employment, they study and live here.
During the event, officials delivered a speech, wished success to the new association and expressed readiness to cooperate.
The main purpose of the association is to protect the interests of Uzbeks in the Republic of Korea (migrant workers, students and pupils, entrepreneurs, permanent residents and other compatriots staying there), to provide them with emergency assistance, medical and legal services.
