PM Abdulla Aripov to visit Tajikistan, discuss issues of resuming flights, opening the state border
A regular meeting of the joint Intergovernmental Commission of Uzbekistan and Tajikistan on Trade and Economic Cooperation is scheduled in Dushanbe on September 28-29, Asia-Plus reports.

The Intergovernmental Commission is co-chaired by the Prime Minister of Uzbekistan Abdulla Aripov and his Tajik counterpart Kokhir Rasulzoda.
It is reported that the parties will discuss the opening of borders and the resumption of flights between the two states, which closed in mid-March due to the spread of the coronavirus infection.
At the meeting, the sides intend to consider issues related to building up bilateral trade, promising investment projects, expanding ties in the field of transport and communications, relations between regions.
The issue of the volumes of electricity supplies from Tajikistan to Uzbekistan, natural gas from Uzbekistan to Tajikistan and prices for them for next year will also be agreed at the meeting.
