Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, and Tajikistan to sign landmark border agreement
Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, and Tajikistan plan to sign an agreement on the junction point of their state borders on March 21. This was announced by Tajikistan’s President Emomali Rahmon following Tajik-Kyrgyz negotiations. The signing is scheduled to take place in Khujand, Tajikistan.

"With today’s signing of the Tajik-Kyrgyz Border Agreement, my esteemed counterpart Sadyr Japarov and I have agreed to finalize an Agreement between the Republic of Tajikistan, the Kyrgyz Republic, and the Republic of Uzbekistan on the junction point of our state borders in the near future," the statement reads.
Prior to this, the leaders of Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan discussed the construction and use of roads, as well as agreements on access to water management and energy facilities.
The junction point is the location where the borders of the three countries — Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan, and Uzbekistan — meet. The agreement is expected to help resolve border issues and establish a legal framework for managing this area.
