UzAuto Motors not planning to reduce car prices
On August 19, 2020, the Antimonopoly Committee held a regular hearing on the case against UzAuto Motors on the grounds of violation of the law “On competition”.

Reportedly, UzAuto Motors sent a request to postpone the hearing due to the short time required to prepare additional materials to substantiate the disputed issues.
The case was reviewed unilaterally by the Antimonopoly Committee, which concluded a decision based on incomplete information, the statement reads.
It is noted that the production of cars is a complex process, which requires considerable time to study.
“A deeper and more thorough study of UzAuto Motors’ activities will be possible during the next court hearings – the company plans to exercise this right.
It should be noted that the decision of the special commission under the Antimonopoly Committee is not final – the next steps will be determined by the court hearings.
In turn, the company states that the price of cars is reasonable and it is impossible to reduce prices in the current situation,” the company said.
