Uzbekistan and Malaysia to strengthen cooperation between parliaments
Ambassador of Uzbekistan to Malaysia Ravshan Usmanov met with Azhar Azizan Harun, newly appointed Speaker of the House of Representatives of the Malaysian Parliament.

At the meeting, the current state of cooperation between Uzbekistan and Malaysia and priority directions for its further development were discussed.
The sides exchanged information on measures taken in Uzbekistan and Malaysia to counteract the spread of coronavirus and expressed their readiness to cooperate in this direction.
Following the talks, the parties agreed to further intensify cooperation between the parliaments of the two countries, including by holding the next virtual forum in September 2020 and exchanging visits in the post-pandemic period.
