A golf club and recreational zone are planned to be developed in Tashkent region in collaboration with a Malaysian investor, according to the regional administration's press service.
During a working visit to Malaysia, a delegation led by regional governor Zoyir Mirzayev held negotiations with representatives of The Mines Resort and Golf Club. The parties reached an agreement to implement a joint project on a site covering approximately 100 hectares.
The project envisions the creation of a luxury resort area featuring a hotel complex and golf courses. The proposed locations for the development include the Akhangaran, Bostanlyk, and Parkent districts.
The Uzbek delegation also held talks with The Food Base, a company that manufactures low-calorie sugar granules, and Right Food, a producer of artificial meat and vegetarian protein-based fast food.
Previously, Zoyir Mirzayev had discussed the creation of a joint Uzbekistan–Malaysia industrial zone in the Parkent district with MMC Corporation. The project was initially brought to light during February talks between President Shavkat Mirziyoyev and Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim.
