The news has emerged this morning that Abdulmanap tragically lost his life after battling with coronavirus over the last few weeks.
Nurmagomedov, 57, has died after recovering from a stroke and spending time in intensive care.
Abdulmanap, who is considered a legendary coach across several MMA disciplines, had suffered a stroke after contracting coronavirus back in May. He subsequently underwent heart bypass surgery and was placed in an induced coma, and had remained in a critical condition after waking.
Not only was he Khabib’s father, he was also his coach, so the news came as a tragic blow and loss to the lightweight champion and the rest of his family and working team.
