Mirziyoyev congratulates President of Georgia on Independence Day
President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev has congratulated the President of Georgia Salome Zourabichvili on the Independence Day.

Independence Day is an annual public holiday in Georgia observed on 26 May. Georgia was first declared a sovereign democratic nation by the adoption of the Act of Independence on this day in 1918. The country became a part of the Soviet Union in 1922 and regained total sovereignty once again in 1991.
Uzbekistan established diplomatic relations with Georgia on August 19, 1994 by signing a relevant Protocol in Moscow.
