WHO Regional Director for Europe to visit Uzbekistan
The new Regional Director of the World Health Organization (WHO) for Europe, Hans Kluge, will pay an official visit to Uzbekistan on February 11-12. Kluge took up his duties on February 1, replacing Zsuzsanna Jakab.

As Regional Director, Dr. Kluge is expected to implement his vision for the WHO European Region, which is called “Stronger Collaboration Better Health”. It involves working with partners to ensure availability of health services everywhere, effective response in emergency situations, and work to improve public health.
During the official visit, Uzbekistan’s Ministry of Health and the European Office of the World Health Organization will sign a two-year cooperation agreement (2020-2021).
