Uzbek-born Russian business magnate Alisher Usmanov is listed among TOP-10 most successful billionaires of the past decade in Russia, Forbes magazine writes.
Usmanov’s fortune grew by $5.3 billion in the past ten years. Main shareholder (49$) of USM now has $12.5 billion.
The TOP-10 list is led by Leonid Mikhelson, CEO, chairman and major shareholder of the Russian gas company Novatek. From 2010 to the end of 2019, his fortune grew by $22.6 billion - from 4.4 billion to $27 billion. The second and third places were taken by Gennady Timchenko (+ $20.8 billion) and Vladimir Potanin (+ $13.5 billion) respectively.
The list of most successful billionaires of the decade have earned their fortune thanks to metallurgy, chemical, oil and gas industry, the publication notes.
