Pulat Bobojonov: 75% of prisoners casts a vote in elections

75% of voters in prisons exercised their right to vote in parliamentary elections, Interior Minister Pulat Bobojonov said at a press conference.
According to him, 6 international observers take part in monitoring the voting process at polling stations organized in places of deprivation of liberty.
“As of 11:00 in the morning, 2715 people, or 75% of voters in places of deprivation of liberty, exercised their right to vote (905 people remained),” the minister said.
He noted that before the election day, 18 candidates and 4 observers from international organizations, as well as 1 media representative met with convicts in prisons.
