President Shavkat Mirziyoyev instructed diplomatic missions of Uzbekistan abroad to introduce an electronic form of consular services.

“It is necessary to introduce consular services in an electronic form. Our citizens, who are abroad, should not waste their time coming from another city to consular offices and face difficulties,” the president said at a meeting on Saturday.

The Ministries of Foreign Affairs and Justice will be identified as responsible bodies for the full launch of this system next year, Mirziyoyev noted.

He stressed that Uzbekistan will continue to guarantee legal protection and patronage of its citizens not only in the country, but also abroad.
