According to the First Deputy Foreign Minister of Uzbekistan Ilhom Nematov, conflicts with journalists will not lead to anything good. He noted the need for mutual respect and strengthening the culture of communication.
“In many countries, media is indeed the fourth estate, journalists are highly respected, their views have a great influence on both domestic and foreign policy,” Nematov said.
“Of course, I condemn the negative attitude towards journalists. Representatives of the Foreign Ministry believe that communication with journalists should be carried out in accordance with ethics, culture and respect. A conflict with journalists will not lead to anything good. We should know keep that in mind.
In European countries, anyone who conflicts with journalists will ultimately be fired, or this will negatively affect the image of the whole country. We need to respect journalists. It is necessary to strengthen the culture of communication with them,” Kun.uz correspondent quoted Ilhom Nematov as saying.
