“Uzbek migrants sell Kyrgyz passports in Russia” – Deputy Speaker of the Kyrgyz Parliament

Aida Kasymalieva
In St. Petersburg, Uzbek migrants set up a full-fledged business on Kyrgyz passports. This was stated by Deputy Speaker of the Kyrgyz Parliament Aida Kasymalieva during a parliamentary session in Bishkek on December 4.
“We have recently visited St. Petersburg with deputies and met with our compatriots there. It became clear that Kyrgyz passports have become a full-fledged business there. Migrants from Uzbekistan advertise and sell Kyrgyz passports. This can be studied by statistics. When people are detained by the police, these passports are being identified,” she said.
According to Kasymalieva, many such passports were issued in the Suzak district of the Jalal-Abad province. “The results of the PIN verification show that they are not fake passports. What measures are being taken to prevent passports from being issued illegally?” Kasymalieva said in her address to the chairman of the Kyrgyz State Registration Service Almaz Mambetov.
