From November 21 to 24, 2019, a delegation of Lombardy region (Italy), led by Governor Attilio Fontana, will visit Uzbekistan, the Foreign Ministry said.
The delegation includes representatives of the Government of Lombardy, the President and members of the Uzbekistan-Italy Chamber of Commerce, around 15 business people from northern Italy, as well as heads of Milan, Bergamo and Insubria universities.
The agenda of the visit includes meetings with a number of official representatives of Uzbekistan, including the leadership of the Cabinet of Ministers, the Ministry of Investments and Foreign Trade and the Ministry of Higher and Secondary Specialized Education. Holding Uzbekistan-Italy business forum in Tashkent is also planned.
In addition, visits to the National University of Uzbekistan named after Mirzo Ulugbek, Turin Polytechnic University in Tashkent, Tashkent State Technical University, as well as Tashkent Fashion Week are scheduled.
The delegation of Lombardy region will also visit Samarkand to hold talks with the region’s leadership, attend the First International Investment Forum, and become acquainted with cultural heritage sites of the city.
