In January-October 2019, foreign trade turnover of Uzbekistan amounted to $34.7 billion, it increased by $8.8 billion or 34.4% compared to the same period last year.
According to the State Statistics Committee, export volume reached $14.8 billion (a growth rate of 43.3%), while import volume reached $19.9 billion (28.5% growth rate). In the reporting period, passive foreign trade turnover of $5.1 billion was recorded.
Uzbekistan has trade relations with more than 189 countries. The largest share of the country’s foreign trade turnover, in comparison with the world countries, accounts for China (19.1%), Russian Federation (15.1%), Kazakhstan (8.4%), Republic of Korea (6.5%), Turkey (5.9%), Germany (2.4%) and Kyrgyzstan (2.0%).
In January-October 2019, trade turnover with CIS countries amounted to $11.8 billion and its share in foreign trade turnover of Uzbekistan reached 34.2%.
Strengthening socio-economic ties with neighboring countries also has a positive impact on mutual trade. About 37.4% of foreign trade with CIS countries, including 42.2% of export and 33.6% of import, accounts for neighboring countries.
The share of other countries in the foreign trade turnover reached 65.8% ($22.8 billion), having increased by 52.0% compared to the same period last year.
