On November 8, 2019, Foreign Minister of Uzbekistan Abdulaziz Kamilov received the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan Irfan Yusuf Shami, who is completing his diplomatic mission in our country.

The parties discussed the prospects for further development of bilateral relations, as well as interaction within the UN, OIC, SCO and other international structures.

As emphasized at the meeting, in recent years, thanks to the consistent efforts of both sides, Uzbek-Pakistani relations have reached a new level in almost all areas.

The sides spoke in favor of giving new dynamics to the activities of the Intergovernmental Joint Commission on Trade, Economic, Scientific and Technical Cooperation, and other joint institutions.

At the end of the meeting, the Minister thanked the Ambassador for his contribution to the development and strengthening of multifaceted ties between our countries.

The ambassador, in turn, thanked the Uzbek side for supporting his activities as head of the Pakistan’s diplomatic mission in Uzbekistan.
