Uzbekistan-India joint military exercise kicks off in Tashkent region

Servicemen of Uzbekistan and India began the first Joint Exercise “Dustlik-2019” at Chirchiq Training Area in the Tashkent region.
“The first joint special tactical exercises “Dustlik-2019” of the military units of Uzbekistan and India began at Chirchiq Training Area in the Tashkent region on Monday,” a representative of the defense ministry said.
The exercises were opened by the defense ministers of Uzbekistan and India, Bakhodir Kurbanov and Rajnath Singh.
The joint exercises are aimed at increasing the combat readiness of the armies of Uzbekistan and India, The sides will exchange experience in the fight against international terrorism.
